Secret Society of the ’64

There is something about the 1964 Corvette!  While some folks regard this model year as the “red headed step child” of Mid-Years, most owners of the 1964 know different.

While the 64 is lacking some of the niceties of the 65-67 Vettes (mostly disc brakes), the 64 was mechanical, if not aesthetic, improvement over the 1963 Model Year.

Owners of these cars know that, “If it ain’t a 64, you just overpaid!”

’64 owners seem to make up a separate brotherhood within the general Corvette owners… and that includes other the Mid-year owners. -They are the Secret Society of the SixtyFour!

We, at C2shirts.com,  are spilling the secret that they have known for a long time…  that the 1964 Corvette is the best value/bang for the buck of all the mid-years!

Product Description

Sales of the 1964 Sting Ray reached 22,229 – another new Corvette record, if up only a little from banner-year 1963.  The changes of the ’64 over the previous model were slight, and mostly cosmetic and probably most known for what it “doesn’t have”, which most notably was the removal of the coupe’s “Split Window” as well as loosing the the two fake air intakes on the hood commonly referred to as “the cookie sheets”.

Other changes were rocker-panel trim (lost some of its ribs and gained black paint between those ribs that remained); wheel covers simplification,  and the gas door deck emblem gained concentric circles around its crossed-flags insignia.

Drive-train choices were massaged as well for the high end engine options which resulted in 365 bhp for the carburetored, and 375 to the fuel injected motors.
